The FCP App is designed to help people connect via Skype with their friends and/or family who live in Nursing Homes or other assisted living environments. It achieves this through a callback booking scheme. As the caller you request a callback from your friend or family member.


-- Why request a callback? I can just call them directly! --

In Nursing Home environments, elders usually need the assistance of care staff to use technology. Hence direct calling a resident is often not possible.

If a Nursing Home and Residence is part of the Family Connect Project, you can use the FCP App to request a callback from your friend or family member.


-- What is the Family Connect Project ? --

The Family Connect Project is an initiative to connect Elders in nursing homes and assisted living environments with their family and friends using communication, video and social media platforms.

At FCP we see the barriers to connecting families and friends being simply a lack of a uniform and supported approach to the technology. While the technology is readily available and simple, a uniform and assisted approach is needed at aged care facilities to help Elders and support staff leverage the opportunities.
